El Gaià – The walled river
It is not easy to clearly define the Gaià area. On the one hand, it is evident that the influence of the river goes a lot further than the limit of the lands that run along either side of its course. On the other hand, there are territorial issues that influence the area well beyond those narrow limits, since human nature hardly considers a physical division such as river basin to be a strict area.
The book tries to depict the natural, historical and human values that make this territory a privileged environment, and all that at just a small distance from the heart of our country.
